Inspired by the Claude Monet piece, La Japonaise, I created my own version of this masterpiece. In my version, I have replaced the fans with a book and text from many different languages. This image began with a photograph. The kimono in the photograph was also made by hand by me in the traditional method utilizing only rectangles for the components.
